Our Story

At Happy Cat Stitchery, our love for cats goes beyond companionship—it’s a lifelong commitment to rescue, care, and second chances. Founded by Lisa and Jack Berberette, our family has spent over 30 years saving, nurturing, and providing safe, loving homes for countless feline friends.

Unlike large organizations, we are not a non-profit—we do this entirely on our own, driven by compassion and a deep desire to give every cat the best life possible. Each month, we personally fund nearly $1,000 for food and litter, ensuring our kitties are well-fed and comfortable. On top of that, we dedicate several thousand dollars annually to veterinary care, making sure every cat receives the medical attention they need to thrive.

Our commitment doesn’t stop there. We are currently building a catio—a secure outdoor space where our rescue cats can enjoy fresh air while staying safe from predators and health risks like Avian Flu. Every effort we make is designed to improve the lives of our animals—one paw at a time.

That’s why we created Happy Cat Stitchery. Here, we blend creativity with compassion, offering fun, uplifting products like stickers, mugs, cross-stitch and punch needle patterns, and candles. Every purchase directly supports our rescue efforts, helping to provide food, medical care, and safe shelter for our beloved cats.

With your support, we can continue making a difference. Join us in bringing joy to both people and pets—because every cat deserves a happy home.
